the complete set of 11 lithographs in colors including lithographic paper wrapper, 1963, in-texte, dedication page, text in French and justification, on Arches paper, signed in pencil on the justification, copy number 19 of 50, the full sheets, the sheets slightly toned (primarily at the sheet edges) otherwise generally in good condition, loose (as issued), original black cloth-covered portfolio with title printed in white (minor wear). 17¾ x 15½ in. (450 x 394 mm.)

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,279.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Dubuffet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paris Polka in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 24,805,000.00 (€ 22,562,306.71).

Die Arbeit Jean Dubuffet, La Lunette farcie, Serge Lozingot, Paris, 1963 von Jean Dubuffet wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.279,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Dubuffet erzielen.
