Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Vittoria by Jean Tinguely was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2019. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,615.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Tinguely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Métamatic No. 7 in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,049,250.00 (€ 1,333,083.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Vittoria von Jean Tinguely kam im Juli 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.615,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Tinguely erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Métamatic No. 7 im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.049.250,00 (€ 1.333.083,94).
