Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Bathing Statues by Jenna Gribbon was auctioned at Christies in October 2021, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 8,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,805.40). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jenna Gribbon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Regarding Me Regarding You and Me in November this year with an auction result of USD 478,800.00 (€ 438,943.89).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Bathing Statues von Jenna Gribbon im Oktober 2021 bei Christies versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – USD 8.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.805,40) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jenna Gribbon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Regarding Me Regarding You and Me im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 478.800,00 (€ 438.943,89).
