Auction result misses estimated price range
In July last year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Julian Schnabel for GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,532.65). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, London at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julian Schnabel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ethnic Type #14 in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,452,500.00 (€ 1,220,793.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Julian Schnabel für GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.532,65) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, London bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julian Schnabel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ethnic Type #14 im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.452.500,00 (€ 1.220.793,41).
