Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Kaws achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2019. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work DISSECTED COMPANION (GREY) sold for GBP 81,250.00 (€ 94,304.42) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kaws achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Kimpsons #1) in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 57,877,000.00 (€ 6,615,255.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kaws erzielte im März 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit DISSECTED COMPANION (GREY) für GBP 81.250,00 (€ 94.304,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kaws erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Kimpsons #1) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 57.877.000,00 (€ 6.615.255,49).
