Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Evening, which included the work Tree Of Life by Keith Haring. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,169,000.00 (€ 1,476,715.69), 21% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Keith Haring - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2017 for USD 6,537,500.00 (€ 5,818,351.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Evening durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tree Of Life von Keith Haring zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.169.000,00 (€ 1.476.715,69) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Keith Haring mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für USD 6.537.500,00 (€ 5.818.351,73) versteigert wurde.
