Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction OLD MASTER, MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY PRINTS, which included the work Naked Man On A Bed (H. 31 I) by Lucian Freud. It changed hands for a price of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,341.71) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucian Freud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Large Interior, W11 (after Watteau) in November last year with an auction result of USD 86,265,000.00 (€ 83,565,823.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion OLD MASTER, MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY PRINTS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Naked Man On A Bed (H. 31 I) von Lucian Freud zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.341,71) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucian Freud erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Large Interior, W11 (after Watteau) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.265.000,00 (€ 83.565.823,89).
