Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Christies in New York held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included this untitled work by Mark Bradford. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 25,200.00 (€ 25,367.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Bradford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Helter Skelter I in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 8,671,500.00 (€ 9,872,981.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mark Bradford zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 25.367,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Bradford erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Helter Skelter I im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.671.500,00 (€ 9.872.981,37).
