Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work Warnung Vor Der Natur by Martin Kippenberger. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 107,100.00 (€ 126,979.10), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Kippenberger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 16,405,000.00 (€ 14,921,775.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Warnung Vor Der Natur von Martin Kippenberger zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 107.100,00 (€ 126.979,10) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martin Kippenberger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.405.000,00 (€ 14.921.775,51).
