Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2017 Christies in London held the auction Post War & Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work The Egg by Michaël Borremans. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 350,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 365,000.00 (€ 427,743.97). Admittedly, works by Michaël Borremans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Girl With Duck in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 2,045,000.00 (€ 2,860,444.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Egg von Michaël Borremans zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 350.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 365.000,00 (€ 427.743,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michaël Borremans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Girl With Duck im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.045.000,00 (€ 2.860.444,21).
