In November 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Morning Sale, which included the work Leather Head by Nancy Grossman. The »bidding war« ended at USD 106,250.00 (€ 100,444.32), 52% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nancy Grossman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Arbus sold at auction in March 2018 with the realized price of USD 225,000.00 (€ 182,629.87).

Im November 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Morning Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leather Head von Nancy Grossman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 106.250,00 (€ 100.444,32) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Nancy Grossman; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Arbus im März 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 182.629,87).
