Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Garçon et Dormeuse à la Chandelle, plate 36 from La Suite Vollard (B. 226; Ba. 440 IIIBd) by Pablo Picasso was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2007. It changed hands for a price of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,727.68) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Picasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77).
