Upper estimate price exceeded by 41 %.
The work La danse macabre by Paul Delvaux was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in March last year. It achieved a price of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,828.41), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Delvaux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Miroir in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 7,317,000.00 (€ 9,375,831.98).
