Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for Winterpark by Peter Doig was auctioned at Christies in London in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 81,900.00 (€ 97,803.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Doig achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Swamped in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 39,862,500.00 (€ 35,317,179.06).
