The work Matinée à Arcachon by Pierre Bonnard was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in March last year. It achieved a price of GBP 478,800.00 (€ 567,671.29), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Bonnard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Terrasse Ou Une Terrasse À Grasse in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 19,570,000.00 (€ 17,553,143.78).

Die Arbeit Matinée à Arcachon von Pierre Bonnard wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 478.800,00 (€ 567.671,29) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Bonnard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Terrasse Ou Une Terrasse À Grasse im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.570.000,00 (€ 17.553.143,78).
