Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Donut by Ralph Goings for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,453.28). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War to Present at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralph Goings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Hot Fudge Sundae Interior" in May 2014 with an auction result of SEK 3,100,000.00 (€ 339,772.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Donut von Ralph Goings für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.453,28) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ralph Goings erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Hot Fudge Sundae Interior" im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 3.100.000,00 (€ 339.772,73).
