Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Motherwell could be acquired at Bonhams in May this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner auction, the work Paris Suite III (Autumn) changed hands for USD 1,402.50 (€ 1,316.41) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Motherwell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work At Five in the Afternoon in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 12,690,000.00 (€ 10,874,035.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Motherwell konnte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner wechselte die Arbeit Paris Suite III (Autumn) für USD 1.402,50 (€ 1.316,41) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Motherwell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit At Five in the Afternoon im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.690.000,00 (€ 10.874.035,99).
