Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art | New York, which included the work Untitled #17 (from the Tooba Series) by Shirin Neshat. The price achieved of USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,896.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shirin Neshat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Passage in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 214,684.76).
