Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Strawhead by Tom Friedman was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2017. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,684.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Friedman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 856,000.00 (€ 645,501.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Strawhead von Tom Friedman kam im März 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.684,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Friedman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 856.000,00 (€ 645.501,85).
