Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Failure Drawing #2, Celebrate by William Pope.L for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,163.71). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by William Pope.L have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eight works: (i) White People are the Beef of the Fire; (ii) White People are Hoi Vuc Vietnam 1965; (iii) White People are my Tears; (iv) Black People are a positive cancer; (v) White People are nice to their I in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 21,875.00 (€ 25,976.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Failure Drawing #2, Celebrate von William Pope.L für USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.163,71) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Pope.L auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Eight works: (i) White People are the Beef of the Fire; (ii) White People are Hoi Vuc Vietnam 1965; (iii) White People are my Tears; (iv) Black People are a positive cancer; (v) White People are nice to their I im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.875,00 (€ 25.976,94).
