Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work paper drop (green) II by Wolfgang Tillmans. The price achieved of GBP 81,900.00 (€ 97,101.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wolfgang Tillmans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Freischwimmer #84 in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 605,000.00 (€ 688,982.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit paper drop (green) II von Wolfgang Tillmans zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 81.900,00 (€ 97.101,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wolfgang Tillmans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Freischwimmer #84 im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 605.000,00 (€ 688.982,12).
