Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Christies held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work Collage by Ad Reinhardt. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,000.00 (€ 64,923.82) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ad Reinhardt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstract Painting, Blue, 1953 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 4,981,000.00 (€ 4,004,663.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Post-War to Present durch, in der auch die Arbeit Collage von Ad Reinhardt zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 64.923,82) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ad Reinhardt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstract Painting, Blue, 1953 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.981.000,00 (€ 4.004.663,13).
