the complete set of 15 pochoirs in colours with extensive handcolouring in gouache, 1930, on Arches wove paper, from the unnumbered edition of 150, published by Edition des Quatre Chemins, Paris, the full sheets, deckle edges on all sides, lacking the text and portfolio, some sheets with pale foxing and staining, otherwise in good condition

Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2017 Christies in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Décor de Théâtre by Aleksandra Aleksandrovna Ekster. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,217.92). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aleksandra Aleksandrovna Ekster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Picnic On The Beach in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 657,600.00 (€ 976,556.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Décor de Théâtre von Aleksandra Aleksandrovna Ekster zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.217,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aleksandra Aleksandrovna Ekster erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Picnic On The Beach im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 657.600,00 (€ 976.556,58).
