Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Truck by Andy Warhol was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Christies in New York in October 2015. The »bidding war« ended at USD 118,750.00 (€ 107,543.92), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Truck von Andy Warhol wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 107.543,92) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
