The work Untitled (Wave) by Bridget Riley was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,777.49), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bridget Riley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Diagonal Curve) in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 4,338,500.00 (€ 5,207,615.75).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Wave) von Bridget Riley wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.845,00 (€ 5.777,49) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bridget Riley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Diagonal Curve) im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.338.500,00 (€ 5.207.615,75).
