It achieved a price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,706.68), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 71%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Umbrellas (Joint project for Japan and USA) in February 2021 with an auction result of EUR 1,706,500.00.

Die Arbeit Wrapped Road Sign, Project von Christo kam im September 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.706,68) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 71%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Umbrellas (Joint project for Japan and USA) im Februar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.706.500,00.
