Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September this year Phillips in 6 - held the auction Editions & Works on Paper: Online Auction, which included the work Lilies by Donald Sultan. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,032.00 (€ 1,919.88). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donald Sultan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Battery May 5, 1986 in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 76,896.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Phillips in 6 - die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lilies von Donald Sultan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.032,00 (€ 1.919,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Donald Sultan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Battery May 5, 1986 im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 76.896,04).
