(200 x 136 mm.) Sheet: 14 7 ⁄ 8 x 11 in. (378 x 279 mm.)
Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Eduardo Chillida could be acquired at Christies in July this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Edition auction, the work Sakondu, from Derrière le Miroir, No. 174 changed hands for USD 756.00 (€ 686.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eduardo Chillida achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rumor de Limites No. Vi in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 2,024,000.00 (€ 2,928,694.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eduardo Chillida konnte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Christies für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Edition wechselte die Arbeit Sakondu, from Derrière le Miroir, No. 174 für USD 756,00 (€ 686,03) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eduardo Chillida erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rumor de Limites No. Vi im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.024.000,00 (€ 2.928.694,26).
