Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Self Portrait in Red and Green by Francesco Clemente was auctioned at Bonhams in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,657.50 (€ 1,524.56). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Clemente achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fourteen Stations, No. XI in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,860,000.00 (€ 1,733,296.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Self Portrait in Red and Green von Francesco Clemente kam im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.657,50 (€ 1.524,56) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Clemente erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Fourteen Stations, No. XI im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.860.000,00 (€ 1.733.296,06).
