etching with aquatint, before 1810, on laid paper watermark Fleur de Lis, a rare trial proof printed circa 1910, with wide margins, the joining line and several printing defects visible as is the case with all of the trial proofs, a small stain at the left edge of the subject, pale mat and time staining, staining on the reverse of the upper sheet edge (just showing through), remains of old glue at the reverse of the upper sheet edge, otherwise in good condition, framed

Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Landscape with Buildings and Trees (D. 22; H. 23) by Francisco de Goya for USD 3,585.00 (€ 3,838.74). This price was achieved in the auction Nineteenth and Twentieth Century Prints at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 4,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco de Goya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Doña María Vicenta Barruso Valdés, seated on a sofa with a lap-dog; and Portrait of her mother Doña Leonora Antonia Valdés de Barruso, seated on a chair holding a fan in January this year with an auction result of USD 16,420,000.00 (€ 15,122,490.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Landscape with Buildings and Trees (D. 22; H. 23) von Francisco de Goya für USD 3.585,00 (€ 3.838,74) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Nineteenth and Twentieth Century Prints bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 4.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco de Goya erzielen.
