Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Balloon Swan (Magenta), Balloon Monkey (Orange) and Balloon Rabbit (Violet) by Jeff Koons was sold in the Contemporary Edition auction at Christies in New York in July 2019. The price achieved of USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,692.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeff Koons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rabbit in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 91,075,000.00 (€ 81,688,940.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Balloon Swan (Magenta), Balloon Monkey (Orange) and Balloon Rabbit (Violet) von Jeff Koons wurde im Juli 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Edition bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.692,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeff Koons erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rabbit im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.075.000,00 (€ 81.688.940,71).
