Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Germinal by Louise Bourgeois was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2015. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 87,500.00 (€ 82,844.16). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louise Bourgeois achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spider in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 32,055,000.00 (€ 28,751,457.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Germinal von Louise Bourgeois kam im November 2015 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 87.500,00 (€ 82.844,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louise Bourgeois erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spider im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.055.000,00 (€ 28.751.457,53).
