Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints, which included the work Raphaël Et la Fornarina Xviii, From Séries 347 (B. 1793; Ba. 1810 Bb1) by Pablo Picasso. The price achieved of GBP 2,040.00 (€ 2,922.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Picasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77).
