Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Paul Feeley. The »bidding war« ended at USD 35,000.00 (€ 32,716.40), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Feeley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work ACRUX, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 91,430.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Paul Feeley zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 32.716,40) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Feeley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ACRUX beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 118.750,00 (€ 91.430,55) versteigert wurde.
