Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Richard Diebenkorn could be acquired at Bonhams in March this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work #31 (Looking Out at Deck of Diebenkorn Residence), from 41 Etchings and Drypoints changed hands for USD 1,402.50 (€ 1,290.01) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Diebenkorn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Recollections of a Visit to Leningrad in November this year with an auction result of USD 46,410,000.00 (€ 42,546,754.68).
