Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Richard Diebenkorn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in March this year. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Self-Portrait, from the Four Small Prints sold for USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,209.16) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Diebenkorn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Recollections of a Visit to Leningrad in November this year with an auction result of USD 46,410,000.00 (€ 42,546,754.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Diebenkorn erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wurde die Arbeit Self-Portrait, from the Four Small Prints für USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.209,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Diebenkorn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Recollections of a Visit to Leningrad im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.410.000,00 (€ 42.546.754,68).
