Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Ritual by Richard Mayhew was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,948.10). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Mayhew - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Guardian, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 252,000.00 (€ 244,115.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ritual von Richard Mayhew kam im Mai 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 68.750,00 (€ 61.948,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Mayhew mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Guardian beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 252.000,00 (€ 244.115,08) versteigert wurde.
