Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sandías by Rufino Tamayo was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,287.50 (€ 7,622.79). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rufino Tamayo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work America in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 6,802,500.00 (€ 5,358,830.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sandías von Rufino Tamayo wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.287,50 (€ 7.622,79) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rufino Tamayo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit America im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.802.500,00 (€ 5.358.830,94).
