Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Piano Zebra by Sandro Chia for USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,585.90). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sandro Chia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pharmacist's son in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 252,500.00 (€ 362,606.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Piano Zebra von Sandro Chia für USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.585,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sandro Chia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Pharmacist's son im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 252.500,00 (€ 362.606,61).
