Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Sculpteur by Sean Landers was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in October 2012. The price achieved of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 29,528.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sean Landers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Genius in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 360,000.00 (€ 267,598.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Sculpteur von Sean Landers wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 29.528,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sean Landers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Genius im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 360.000,00 (€ 267.598,31).
