Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yue Minjun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Execution in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,932,500.00 (€ 4,211,262.96).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Smile-Ism No. 12), 2006 von Yue Minjun kam im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 2.040,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yue Minjun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Execution im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.932.500,00 (€ 4.211.262,96).
