Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Happy Chopper by Banksy was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in September this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 19,200.00 (€ 19,200.00) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Banksy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love is in the Bin in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 18,582,000.00 (€ 22,014,651.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Happy Chopper von Banksy wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 19.200,00 (€ 19.200,00) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Banksy erzielen.
