Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Carlos Almaráz could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in January 2024 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Multiples auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 1,792.00 (€ 1,566.16) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carlos Almaráz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunset Beach, 1983 in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,442.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carlos Almaráz konnte im Januar 2024 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 1.792,00 (€ 1.566,16) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlos Almaráz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunset Beach, 1983 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.442,99).
