The work Compression by César was sold in the Limited Editions and Artists' Jewellery auction at Bonhams in London in June this year. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 34,560.00 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by César achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Compression "Zim"Compressed Car in December 2015 with an auction result of EUR 627,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Compression von César wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Limited Editions and Artists' Jewellery bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 34.560,00 und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von César erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Compression "Zim"Compressed Car im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 627.000,00.
