Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by César achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2017. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Compression sold for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,757.34) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by César achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Compression "Zim"Compressed Car in December 2015 with an auction result of EUR 627,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von César erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Compression für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.757,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von César erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Compression "Zim"Compressed Car im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 627.000,00.
