Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Gates III, Circa 2005 by Christo was sold in the Limited Editions and Artists' Jewellery auction at Bonhams in London in June this year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 768.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Umbrellas (Joint project for Japan and USA) in February 2021 with an auction result of EUR 1,706,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Gates III, Circa 2005 von Christo wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Limited Editions and Artists' Jewellery bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 768,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Umbrellas (Joint project for Japan and USA) im Februar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.706.500,00.
