This artwork by Damien Hirst achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2017. In the Contemporary Edition auction, the work Wheel meet again, from the portfolio In a Spin, The Action of the World on Things, Volume I sold for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,587.23) - well above the upper estimate of USD 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Damien Hirst erzielte im September 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Edition wurde die Arbeit Wheel meet again, from the portfolio In a Spin, The Action of the World on Things, Volume I für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.587,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damien Hirst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lullaby Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.652.000,00 (€ 14.323.082,54).
