Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Cathedral by Domenico Gnoli was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 45,000.00 – 65,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 57,009.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Domenico Gnoli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Hair in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 7,026,500.00 (€ 8,524,835.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Cathedral von Domenico Gnoli kam im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 45.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 57.009,79) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Domenico Gnoli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Black Hair im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.026.500,00 (€ 8.524.835,22).
