Auction result well in line with expectations
In January this year Bonhams held the auction Prints & Multiples | Live Online, which included the work Wallflowers 19, from Wallflowers Suite by Donald Sultan. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,422.50 (€ 2,231.07) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donald Sultan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Battery May 5, 1986 in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 76,896.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Prints & Multiples | Live Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wallflowers 19, from Wallflowers Suite von Donald Sultan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.422,50 (€ 2.231,07) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Donald Sultan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Battery May 5, 1986 im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 76.896,04).
