Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of USD 11,340.00 (€ 10,396.04) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ed Ruscha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hurting the Word Radio #2 in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 52,485,000.00 (€ 47,631,364.01).

Die Arbeit Real Estate Opportunities, From Book Covers von Ed Ruscha kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.340,00 (€ 10.396,04) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ed Ruscha erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hurting the Word Radio #2 im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.485.000,00 (€ 47.631.364,01).
